Häger GmbH & Co. KG DIN Gate Valve (Compact Design)
Compact gate valves are designed exclusively for fully opening or fully closing a pipeline. They are not suitable for regulating flow—this function is better handled by a globe valve. A key advantage of compact gate valves is their near full-bore flow, allowing minimal pressure loss. These valves are primarily used in pipelines with smaller pipe diameters.
The key characteristics of compact gate valves:
Small valves are ideal for nominal sizes under DN 50 and offer a space-saving solution with their compact design while maintaining high tightness. Especially in forged construction, they are robust, durable, and minimize the risk of leaks, particularly with integrally forged flange connections.
Compact Gate Valve – Integrally Forged from Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel
Compact gate valves below DN 50 are made from forged carbon steel or forged stainless steel. Flanged connections are preferably integrally forged to prevent leakage at welded joints, but welding is also possible upon request.
Connection Options for Compact Gate Valves
The cost-effective V- or butt weld technique allows for easy attachment of a weld-on flange but carries the risk of undetected weld defects. The fully welded I-bead, however, is significantly safer, enabling complete X-ray inspection and thus ensuring maximum tightness and safety.
Properties for the Highest Demands
Metal-sealed small valves are especially suitable for high temperatures and are particularly durable and resilient thanks to their TA-Luft certification and Stellite overlay. This ensures they reliably meet the demands of demanding industrial applications. The flange is fixed to the valve connection and fully welded, allowing for 100% radiographic inspection.
