Choosing the right valve is crucial – The Häger Valve Selector
In general, the selection of industrial valves should always be based on technical criteria and take economic efficiency into account. The evaluation of these two aspects can vary significantly. Nearly every valve type comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. Key criteria for proper selection include nominal diameter, temperature, pressure, pressure drop, and most importantly, resistance to the medium. Butterfly valves are generally less suitable for small nominal diameters, as the disc reduces the cross-section. Ball valves, on the other hand, become disproportionately expensive at larger nominal diameters.
